POT ROAST WITH PAN GRAVY

The family really enjoyed this roast and I’ve got to say that my family does not enjoy pot roast. 

Ingredients

Beef roast – we like rump roast

Spices: granulated garlic, salt, pepper

Worcestershire Sauce

Butter

Flour

 

Pot Roast

Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

Rub Worcestershire sauce over the whole roast. Sprinkle with granulated garlic, salt, pepper and paprika. Allow to sit while the oven comes to temp.

Roast for 15 minutes at 400, then lower to 325. Cook until desired internal temp is reached.

Pan Gravy

Skim the fat from the drippings. Whisk together some butter and fat and enough flour to form a roux. Cook for 1-2 minutes, until you smell a warm nutty fragrance. Add the juices from the meat and whisk together while simmering for about 4-5 minutes until desired thickness.
